About this yacht
ASAHI is a multi-award-winning 56-metre sailing yacht built by the esteemed Italian shipyard Perini Navi in 2009, crowned Best Sailing Yacht 45m+ at the World Superyacht Awards. The yacht represents the seventh superyacht in Perini Navi's highly successful 56-metre sailing series, joining distinguished sister ships including Burrasca, Santa Maria (now Zenji), Rosehearty, Selene, Salute, and Silvana. Designed by the renowned Ron Holland and Perini Navi's in-house naval architecture team, ASAHI marked a departure toward ultra-light, performance-oriented design with her streamlined full-aluminium hull construction.
Following a comprehensive 2023 refit, ASAHI presents in impeccable condition with a freshly repainted hull and stern, new teak decking, and an updated galley alongside refined interior refinements. Her contemporary interiors were designed by sought-after designer Remi Tessier, whose minimal aesthetic in neutral tones creates a serene, sophisticated atmosphere throughout. Teak blends with distinctive woods such as Macassar, ebony, and wengè, complemented by rich leather textures that establish a natural and soothing feel. The accommodation comprises six cabins sleeping up to twelve guests, including a full-beam master suite on the lower deck aft with an offset king bed, generous wardrobe space, and a spa-like bathroom. Two VIP double cabins and three additional twin cabins provide flexible configurations ideal for families, groups, and corporate gatherings.
On deck, ASAHI offers exceptional outdoor living with a vast cockpit perfectly suited for entertaining and al fresco dining while under sail. An extensive sundeck and flybridge platform provide superior vantage points for surveying the surroundings, entertaining, and sunbathing. A 2-metre hydraulic swim platform provides seamless water access, complemented by an impressive array of water toys and an RYA water sports centre that enhance the guest experience. The yacht's performance credentials are equally compelling, with a maximum speed of 16 knots and an impressive 4,000-nautical-mile cruising range, enabling extended Mediterranean voyages with minimal time spent transiting.
Her 499-tonne displacement and 3.8-metre draft are well-balanced with an 11.5-metre beam, creating a notably spacious platform for extended cruising. ASAHI accommodates up to twelve cruising guests supported by a professional crew of ten dedicated to delivering memorable experiences both on board and ashore. Presently based in the Western Mediterranean and actively taking bookings, ASAHI charter represents an exceptional opportunity to experience world-class sailing combined with contemporary luxury and meticulous crew service.

The Biggest Superyacht Deliveries of 2026
2026 is the most significant delivery year for large superyachts in over a decade. From a 194.9m polar research vessel to the first yacht to run on methanol fuel cells, the builds coming out of European yards this year are reshaping the upper end of the fleet — in size, propulsion, and design ambiti

Palm Beach 2026: The Yachts That Mattered
The 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show brought more than 100 superyachts to the Florida waterfront — but a handful stood out for reasons beyond scale. This is ADY’s read on the builds that rewarded close attention.

The Maldives by Private Yacht
The Maldives spans 1,192 coral islands across 26 atolls and 90,000 square kilometres of ocean — a geography that rewards a yacht far more than a fixed resort address. The northeast monsoon window, November to April, delivers calm seas, 26–29°C water temperatures, and visibility reaching 30 metres. W
