How much does a yacht charter cost?+
Rates vary depending on size, age, builder, and season. A well-equipped 30m yacht can cost more than a basic 40m. Contact us for specific pricing.
What is included in the charter rate?+
The yacht, full crew, insurance, onboard amenities and water toys, bed linen, and towels. Fuel, food, beverages, berthing, and shore excursions are covered by the APA.
What is APA in a yacht charter?+
APA — the Advance Provisioning Allowance — is a cash advance paid to the yacht before embarkation under the MYBA charter contract, typically 35–45% of the base charter fee and usually settled with the final balance around 30 days before departure. The captain manages it on your behalf to cover running expenses: fuel, food and beverages, berthing and port fees, communications, laundry, and shore excursions. You receive a running tally during the charter and a full accounting at disembarkation — unspent balance is refunded, any shortfall topped up. APA is yacht-specific and itinerary-dependent; a longer cruising range or larger guest count raises the expected spend. Crew gratuity is separate from APA (10–15% of the base fee, given directly to the captain).
How far in advance should I book?+
Peak season Greece (July–August): 6–12 months. Shoulder season: 2–4 months. Last-minute availability exists.
How much should I tip the crew?+
10–15% of base charter fee. Americans commonly tip up to 20%. Given to captain who distributes.
