Who we are

Aris Drivas Yachting (“DRIVAS”, “we”, “us”) is a yacht brokerage established in 1972. Our registered office is in Athens, Greece. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use drivasyachts.com and our related services.

What we collect

  • Contact information — name, email, phone number, submitted via our enquiry and contact forms.
  • Charter & sales enquiry details — dates, destinations, budget, yacht preferences, and the yacht you are enquiring about.
  • Consent records — when you submit a form, we record that you consented to this policy, including a timestamp, the form source, and your IP address.
  • Usage data — pages visited, device type, browser, referral source (collected via the analytics services listed below, only with your consent).
  • Cookies — see the cookie categories below.

Cookies & tracking technologies

Our cookie banner offers three choices: accept all, customise by category, or essential only. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of every page.

  • Essential— required for the site to function (security verification via Cloudflare Turnstile, your consent choice itself, your yacht shortlist). These do not track you and cannot be switched off. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service that counts page views without identifying visitors.
  • Analytics (with your consent)— Google Analytics 4 (usage statistics), Microsoft Clarity (anonymised session replays and heatmaps that show us how pages are used), and HubSpot (our customer relationship platform). If you later submit an enquiry form, HubSpot links your browsing activity on this site — such as the yachts you viewed — to your contact record, so that we can respond to your enquiry with relevant context.
  • Marketing (with your consent)— Meta Pixel, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Insight. These measure the performance of our advertising and may be used to show you relevant advertising on those platforms.

Consent

By submitting an enquiry form on this website, you explicitly consent to the processing of the personal data you provide for the purposes described in this policy. Your consent is recorded and retained separately from your enquiry data so that we can demonstrate compliance with GDPR requirements. Cookie consent is collected separately via the cookie banner. You may withdraw either consent at any time — cookies via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer, enquiry data by contacting us.

Consent is not the only basis we rely on. Responding to your enquiry and performing a brokerage service rely on our contract with you or on steps taken at your request, and marketing email relies on legitimate interest as described below. Where we rely on legitimate interest, you have the right to object at any time.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiries and provide brokerage services.
  • To match you with suitable yachts, crew, and itineraries.
  • To send you availability, new listings, and market updates by email — see “Marketing email” below.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, where you have consented to marketing cookies.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Marketing email

If you enquire with us, we may add your email address to our mailing list and send you availability, new listings, and market updates related to what you asked about. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping people who have approached us about chartering, buying, or managing a yacht informed about the same subject. We do not share your address with anyone for their own marketing.

You can stop these emails at any time, and it takes one click. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and the same link lets you choose which topics you receive rather than leaving altogether. You can also object by contacting us at info@drivasyachts.com. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that decision so we do not contact you again by mistake, and a later enquiry will not put you back on the list.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with yacht owners, charter management companies, and co-brokers solely to fulfil your enquiry. The third-party services that process data on our behalf, under appropriate data processing agreements, are: Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics), Supabase (database), Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads), Microsoft (Clarity), HubSpot (CRM), Sender and Campaign Monitor (email delivery), Meta and LinkedIn (advertising measurement, only with your marketing consent), and Cloudflare (form security). Some of these providers process data outside the EEA under EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Data retention

We retain enquiry data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal requirements. Consent records are retained for the duration required by applicable data protection law (typically the lifetime of the data processing relationship plus any statutory retention period). You may request deletion of your enquiry data at any time; consent records may be retained for audit purposes as permitted by law.

Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable Greek law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Object to direct marketing at any time, with no reason required. We will stop immediately.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
  • Lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).
