About the yard

Galeon Yachts was founded in 1982 by naval engineer Wieczysław "Janek" Kobylko, who began by producing small fibreglass boats and automotive parts before a collaboration with British designer Tony Castro produced the yard's first roughly 10-metre yacht and drew international distributors. The company remains family-owned and is now led by Kobylko's son, Jacek, who has overseen its growth into a global brand with production split between two facilities in Straszyn, near Gdańsk, and Wiślina, Poland. Galeon builds motor yachts in fibreglass across five ranges, GTO, Sport Cruiser, Hardtop, Flybridge and Skydeck, spanning roughly 10 to 25 metres. Its current flagship, the 800 Fly, entered production in 2021 and made its public debut at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show; at 25.35 metres, it is the largest yacht the yard has built, surpassing the previous 780 Crystal, and carries four guest cabins beneath a flybridge aimed at owners who want production-yacht turnaround with a semi-custom layout.
