About the yard

Gulf Craft was founded in 1982 in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates, by Mohammed Alshaali and his brothers, after the cost of shipping an imported boat to the UAE convinced them to build locally instead. With no marine supply base in the country at the time, the yard became a vertically integrated operation, making almost all its own components, and remains privately owned by the Alshaali family. It has since delivered more than 10,000 vessels from its Umm Al Quwain facility plus a second yard in the Maldives. Gulf Craft builds fibreglass and composite yachts across several brands, from 9.4-metre Silvercraft day boats to superyachts over 50 metres under its Majesty flagship brand, alongside the Oryx and Nomad ranges. The yard's landmark is the Majesty 175, launched in 2020 at 54 metres and reported as the largest composite production yacht built.
