GITANA — for Charter in Greece
Charter destination
Marina Floisvos (2015)
About this yacht
GITANA represents a pinnacle of classic sailing yacht design, built in 1989 by the legendary Fabio Perini himself at the renowned Perini Navi shipyard in Italy. Originally conceived as Perini's personal vessel, this 35.97-meter sailing yacht embodies the innovation and craftsmanship that defined the shipyard's golden era. The yacht was comprehensively renovated in 2015, ensuring her systems and finishes remain in impeccable condition while preserving the timeless elegance of her original design.
The interior styling, conceived by the esteemed design partnership of Guido de Groot and Ralph Lauren, masterfully balances luxury with a warm, inviting aesthetic. Rich fabrics and furnishings in soft, neutral tones create spaces that feel both sophisticated and genuinely comfortable—a hallmark of truly refined yacht design. The main salon features generous seating, and notably transforms into an immersive cinema experience with a 100-inch projector screen and full home entertainment system, perfect for evenings at anchor. An adjoining aft lounge provides an intimate retreat for quiet moments overlooking the sea.
One of GITANA's most distinctive features is her expansive all-weather cockpit, which extends nearly a third of the yacht's length and functions as a sophisticated outdoor entertaining space. Complete with a full wet bar and grill, it sets the stage for al fresco dining and memorable gatherings under Mediterranean skies. The yacht accommodates nine guests across three thoughtfully appointed staterooms—a full-beam master suite, a VIP double with pullman berth, and a guest cabin with flexible sleeping configurations—all serviced by a professional crew of six.
For water-based recreation, GITANA carries an impressive collection of toys including jet skis, paddle boards, a DiveRib 5.5-meter inflatable tender, and a Castoldi jet tender, enabling exploration of hidden coves and anchorages throughout Greece and beyond. Her range of 3,455 nautical miles and sophisticated systems, including pioneering 24-volt battery technology for silent-mode propulsion, ensure seamless cruising across the Mediterranean. A GITANA charter offers discerning guests the rare opportunity to experience a true classic—a vessel with authentic pedigree and the modern refinements necessary for the most exacting charter clientele.

What is included in the charter rate for GITANA?+
The weekly rate covers the yacht itself, her crew of professional crew, insurance, and use of the onboard equipment and water toys. Fuel, food and beverages, berthing and port fees, and shore excursions are paid from the APA, and VAT is charged on the base rate. APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is typically around 40% of the base rate, held by the captain and accounted for in full — unspent balance is refunded at disembarkation. Greek charter VAT varies by yacht and by charter, broadly between 5.2% and 24%, depending on the yacht's type, size and certification, the duration of the charter, whether it passes through international waters, and whether the yacht carries permanent professional crew. We confirm the applicable rate for GITANA before you sign. Crew gratuity is separate and discretionary, customarily 10–15% of the base rate.
When is the best time to charter GITANA?+
GITANA charters from €57,000 per week in low season and €67,000 in high season — a difference of about 18% between the two. In Greece, July and August are peak: the most settled weather, the busiest anchorages, and the highest rates. Late May, June, and September offer warm water and quieter islands at the low-season rate, and are what we most often recommend. The meltemi wind is strongest in July and August across the Cyclades, which is worth weighing if sea state matters to your party.
