About this yacht
ZULU is a 36.1-metre expedition yacht built in 2009 by Inace Yachts and substantially reimagined through a comprehensive 2017 refit. She represents a rare combination of serious offshore capability with refined comfort—a steel-hulled explorer designed for guests who value adventure and authenticity over conventional luxury flash. With a 5,000-nautical-mile range and robust engineering, ZULU is genuinely equipped for extended cruising and high-latitude exploration, yet her thoughtfully appointed interiors and open-air living spaces deliver the relaxation and elegance expected of a premium charter yacht.
The yacht's interior styling reflects the work of Pastrovich, one of Italy's most inventive contemporary designers, who brought warmth and character to her five flexible cabins. These sleep up to 10 guests across a master suite with panoramic views, three double cabins, and two twin cabins—including a children's bunk room ideal for family charters. The open-plan saloon and deck spaces flow intuitively, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a well-appointed home than a hotel, with generous teak furnishings and bright, tactile finishes throughout.
On deck, ZULU excels at hosting relaxed entertaining. A spacious upper terrace with bohemian-style lounging, a full-beam sundeck, and a generous swim platform provide multiple venues for al fresco dining and sunbathing. A Jacuzzi on the aft deck invites evening relaxation. Her tender garage and dedicated toy storage reflect her original owner's passion for diving and water sports—practical features that speak to her expedition credentials.
Powered by reliable diesel propulsion with a cruising speed of 10 knots and maximum speed of 12 knots, ZULU carries 45,000 litres of fuel for extended range cruising. Her stabilization systems—both underway and at-anchor—ensure a smooth ride even in challenging conditions. Wi-Fi connectivity, air conditioning, and modern navigation systems provide the infrastructure for comfortable long-haul voyaging.
Based in Athens, ZULU is available for charter throughout the Mediterranean and beyond, offering experienced crews of seven to handle all aspects of your voyage. Whether you seek Mediterranean island-hopping, extended exploration, or multi-week family adventure, this ZULU charter delivers the rare combination of genuine ocean-going capability and understated elegance that defines the modern expedition experience.

What is included in the charter rate for ZULU?+
The weekly rate covers the yacht itself, her crew of 7, insurance, and use of the onboard equipment and water toys. Fuel, food and beverages, berthing and port fees, and shore excursions are paid from the APA, and VAT is charged on the base rate. APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is typically around 40% of the base rate, held by the captain and accounted for in full — unspent balance is refunded at disembarkation. Greek charter VAT varies by yacht and by charter, broadly between 5.2% and 24%, depending on the yacht's type, size and certification, the duration of the charter, whether it passes through international waters, and whether the yacht carries permanent professional crew. We confirm the applicable rate for ZULU before you sign. Crew gratuity is separate and discretionary, customarily 10–15% of the base rate.
When is the best time to charter ZULU?+
ZULU charters from €115 per week in low season and €130 in high season — a difference of about 13% between the two. In Greece, July and August are peak: the most settled weather, the busiest anchorages, and the highest rates. Late May, June, and September offer warm water and quieter islands at the low-season rate, and are what we most often recommend. The meltemi wind is strongest in July and August across the Cyclades, which is worth weighing if sea state matters to your party.
