About the yard

Lazzara Yachts was founded in Tampa, Florida, in 1990 by brothers Dick and Brad Lazzara, sons of Vince Lazzara, who had earlier built Columbia Yachts and Gulfstar Yachts. The first Lazzara, a 76-footer, launched in 1992. The company sold to Avanti Ocean Group in 2015; the Tampa site split into a refit facility and a new-construction yard, with third-generation Joe Lazzara now at the helm, and a Turkish manufacturing facility opened in Antalya in 2019. The yard builds semi-custom fibreglass motor yachts from around 20 metres up to the LMY and UHV flagship series near 49 metres, across five current lines: LSX, LSY, LMY, UHV and the LPC catamaran range. Its LSX series, launched in the 2000s, became known for full-beam owner's staterooms on the main deck, a layout the yard helped popularise in this size class. The Lazzara 116, delivered in 2008, remains the largest yacht the Tampa yard has launched, a 35.6-metre semi-custom flagship built on the same full-beam principles the LSX line established.
