About the yard

Aegean Yacht was founded in 1976 by Sinan Özer in Bodrum, on Turkey's Aegean coast, a region with a boatbuilding tradition stretching back millennia; the yard's early projects were wooden gulets before it moved into steel-hulled custom construction. Özer remains at the helm of the company, which has since added a second yard in Antalya's free zone alongside the original Bodrum facility. The yard builds custom, explorer-style motor yachts in steel up to 80 metres LOA, with more than 40 vessels delivered to date across a range running from around 16 to 50 metres, aimed at owners planning extended voyages rather than coastal cruising. Its flagship project, a 66-metre yacht known as Haifa, was unveiled in 2016 and is under construction for delivery in 2027, reported as set to become the largest yacht built in the Bodrum and Aegean region, with exterior design by Istanbul-based Turhan Soyaslan and interiors by Red Yacht Design, accommodating up to 16 guests across eight suites.
