Sunreef Yachts was founded in 2002 by Francis Lapp in Gdańsk, Poland, and in 2003 launched a 74-foot catamaran with a flybridge. It remains founder-owned, with a second site in the United Arab Emirates.
The yard builds sailing and power catamarans, largely custom, from roughly 18 to over 49 metres, including the solar-electric Sunreef Eco line.
The Eco line carries this further: the 80 Sunreef Power Eco integrates around 200 square metres of solar panels into the hull and superstructure and a battery bank close to one megawatt-hour, giving a reported range near 300 nautical miles under silent electric power. The yard builds largely to custom order, so layout and finish are specified hull by hull.
