Baglietto was founded in 1854 by Pietro Baglietto in La Spezia, Italy, where it still builds, with a second yard at Carrara. It is one of the oldest active Italian yards.
The yard builds semi-custom and full-custom motor superyachts from around 30 metres — planing aluminium yachts and larger steel-and-aluminium displacement builds.
Speed runs through the yard's history: from the First World War it built the navy's MAS torpedo boats — more than 400 of them — and set water-speed records in the 1930s, a lineage that still informs its planing hulls. Its current work splits between the all-aluminium DOM explorer line and the steel-hulled T-Line built for longer passages.
