Heesen was founded in 1978 by Frans Heesen at Oss, in the southern Netherlands. The yard was an early Dutch user of aluminium for yacht hulls and built a superyacht capable of over 50 knots in 1988.
It builds semi-custom motor superyachts in aluminium and steel, from roughly 30 to over 80 metres, including its Fast Displacement Hull Form series.
