Sunseeker was founded in 1969 by brothers Robert and John Braithwaite as Poole Power Boats, taking the Sunseeker name in 1985. Its yachts are built in Poole, on the south coast of England.
The yard builds composite performance motor yachts — sport cruisers and flybridge models through to larger Ocean and superyacht builds — from roughly 38 feet to around 50 metres.
The range is built around named lines — the Predator sport yachts, the Manhattan and Ocean flybridge models, and the Superyacht Division above them. Its largest model, the 161 Yacht at roughly 49 metres, is the company's first aluminium-hulled project. Sunseeker yachts have also featured in several James Bond films, including a Predator in Casino Royale.
