Benetti has built boats in Italy since 1873, when Lorenzo Benetti took over a shipyard in Viareggio; his sons ran it as Fratelli Benetti from 1914. Since 1985 it has formed part of the Azimut|Benetti group, building in Viareggio, Livorno, and Fano. The yard moved from wood to steel in the 1960s and now works mainly in the large-yacht range — one of the longer-running names in Italian yacht building, and one of the most numerous on the water.
The Benetti range
Benetti builds across composite and displacement families from roughly 30 to over 100 metres. The composite Class and Oasis ranges — the Oasis 34M and 40M among them — sit at the more accessible end and account for a large share of the charter fleet; the steel-and-aluminium B.Now, Diamond, and fully custom displacement yachts run up past 100 metres for owners who want ocean range and the volume that comes with it. The Oasis deck, with its folding side terraces and pool set into the aft deck, is the feature most charter guests notice first, because it turns the stern into a sea-level living space at anchor.
Benetti for charter in Greece
Benetti's scale is its charter advantage. A composite Oasis or Class yacht gives a family or two couples generous deck space, a beach club, and the stability to spend long days at anchor — which is what a Greek summer asks for. The displacement yachts add range and crew for groups that want to cover the Ionian, the Cyclades, and the Dodecanese in a single charter without rushing. Weekly rates are yacht-specific and move with the season; tell us the week and we will show you what is available rather than a catalogue.
Benetti across the wider Mediterranean
Benetti is the Italian yard you are most likely to find away from Greek waters, and the fleet we represent reflects that — close to half of it summers outside Greece. The largest groups are on the French Riviera, around Monaco, and along the Italian Riviera and Sicily; several more work the Adriatic along the Croatian coast and down towards Montenegro. That spread means a Benetti charter can begin close to where you already want to be — the western Mediterranean, the Adriatic, or the Aegean — without a long reposition. Tell us the cruising ground and we will start from the yachts already there.
Benetti for sale
We handle Benetti sales as central agent, co-broker, and buyer's representative. The fleet's size means there is usually genuine choice in the brokerage market across age, length, and layout — which makes survey and refit history the thing that separates two similar listings. We read those records with you. If you are selling, the breadth of Benetti demand works in your favour, and we position the yacht to both the broker market and our charter-side relationships. Commission is included in the listing price.
A typical Greek week aboard a Benetti
A Benetti suits the unhurried Greek itinerary — a morning swim off the beach club, a run to the next island after lunch, dinner ashore. From the Athens Riviera a week can take in the Saronic Gulf and the western Cyclades, or push further on a longer charter. See our Greece charter itineraries for the routes we plan most often.
Tell us your dates, guest count, and the cruising area you have in mind, and we will match you to the right Benetti for charter or for sale.
